Illegal Drugs

Telkra

Telkra is a very difficult drug to find, but its price is certainly worth the effects. It appears as a silvery powder, notable for a slight purple tint when in direct sunlight. It gives off no smell, and feels very similar to fine, wet sand when held – even when the substance is dry. Telkra is normally eaten or mixed with water and drunk, and its effects are most potent when smaller doses are taken over a period of time. Rather than growing immune to the drug, the body begins to feel more and more of its effects the longer an individual takes telkra. It is also a highly addictive substance, and once it has its claws on you, it is very difficult to ever give it up. The longer an individual is exposed to the telkra drug, the more drastic the negative effects are of missing a dose.

Telkra gives a person the feeling of elation, making them fully satisfied with their world, who they are, and everything around them. A byproduct of this is the inability to care. Someone on telkra will be perfectly happy, even if a cannibal-type is gnawing on their leg! They can learn to feel pleasure from pain, and their senses appear heightened to the individual. In reality, a person strung out on telkra is being bombarded with auditory, olfactory, and visual hallucinations.

Ine

Ine is a good thing gone bad. Originally created to offer immunity against many diseases, the side-effects of Ine were not properly tested before it was allowed to be used by the public. While Ine does cause a huge increase in resistance to disease and viruses, it also causes hallucinations. A person hopped up on Ine will feel a strong sense of connection with the universe, take on a very mellow attitude, and lose most control over their motor functions. Shortly after taking the drug, an individual will feel immensely dehydrated. Itching sets in shortly after the drug’s effect wears off. This itching can last for several hours and be quite intense, but taking Ine again will always soothe it. Ine is sold illegally in small golden coloured capsules, which should be eaten. The effects begin within twenty minutes, and can last for several hours before fading into unbearable itching and discomfort.

Pigeon Dust

This is one of the most popular drugs in Izarn, particularly amongst amuni. When taken, pigeon dust gives the use an all-consuming sense of euphoria. Colours appear brighter, sounds are dull, and the world appears much larger and prettier than before. It can often cause a sense of physical pleasure as well, but this is considered an uncommon side-effect. If taken in excess, pigeon dust can begin to cause severe paranoia in the host, making them uncomfortable around other people. Sudden movements can also cause bouts of dizziness and sickness. Pigeon dust is a powder meant to be rolled in paper and smoked. The powder is gray-blue, and when lit up it gives off a pleasant caramel smell.

Clarkie Cat

These little round, white pills are easily mistaken for other drugs, making them a favourable choice for underground drug dealers. Clarkie Cat pills are small enough to be concealed, have very little smell, and are easy enough to mix up with prescription medication. It takes several hours for the drug to take effect once swallowed, but once it does, you’ll know. The experience is somewhat similar to being shot out of a canon, blasted hundreds of feet in the air, then plummeting head first into icy cold water. Refreshing, to say the least. This drug causes a huge burst in adrenaline, but for as long as it takes to start working, it burns itself out within an hour. Once it wears off, the individual is overcome with an immediate sense of nausea and weakness. Lasting effects of Clarkie Cat include uncontrolled weight loss, trouble breathing, and heart problems.
