The effected LC will become feverish, sweating profusely and acquiring an abnormal body temperature. They will feel flashes of intense hot/cold, their muscles will ache, and their glands will swell - causing the inability to speak. Eye irritation normally sets in at this point, causing an intense, burning itch and severe dryness.
Burardbi's Fever will run its course and diminish within a week. It is best to stay warm, drink plenty of liquids, and keep all wounds cleaned and covered. It is an extremely unpleasant period, but has no lasting effects. Unfortunately, once it has been contracted, Burardbi's Fever can recur several times throughout the effected's life, and continues to be contagious even when dormant.
The best way to prevent Burardbi's Fever is to clean and bandage wounds as soon as possible, and always sanitize your hands and instruments used when doing so. Once you have Burardbi's Fever, it's for life.
