Izarn : The Planet

Size

Izarn, the moon, is slightly larger than Mercury – the smallest planet in Earth’s solar system. It is roughly 5,200 km around its equator, with a total surface area of 84,948,665.353 km2. This is significantly smaller than that of earth, which is roughly 500,000,000 km2. About 90% of this surface area is water, with the land masses consisting of a single large continent and several smaller islands and archipelagos.

Izarn’s main continent is about 3,000,000 km2, which takes up roughly 4% of the moon’s surface area. It is currently the only known place of sentient life on Izarn, where all 3 of the major races (and their illegal counterparts) are located. There has been some effort to explore the remainder of the world, but the murdons are unwilling to help and the waters are quite treacherous. There has been some minor success with various air ships, but these ships are not large enough to carry enough supplies to spend any length of time over vast bodies of salt water.
